The city of V was the craziest city in the world. The only place where babies as young as 2 days could control robots that only master coders could build and control, a place where gingerbread men were the headmasters of schools and the only place you could find the rare talking tulip (it came with a flea that could play the violin.) This city is unbelievably hard to get to. In fact it’s almost impossible. First you have to find a black hole and go inside  so fast that it doesn’t have to suck you in. Next once you get to the alternate universe you have to find the planet that looks most like earth. Finally find the floating island. Like I said it’s almost impossible.

Is it worth it? You may ask. It’s very worthwhile. There are:

– magical rivers filled with lava (that won’t kill you if you take a swim)

– Fields of lush green grass waiting for you to roll in

Fountains that squirts amethyst water

– beautiful views of the crimson sunset

And there are many more things to look forward to. However you’ll need to look out for cakes and pies. In the day they wouldn’t hurt a fly but during the night they will try to eat you for all those pies and cakes you’ve eaten. The only way to escape this is by losing weight. But enough about the cakes and pies it’s time for some reviews.

Chapter summary (cpht 2) Haroun and the sea of stories

With the help of Mr Butt, Haroun and Rashid see the wonderful sunset hoping it will cheer Rashid up. However they meet a “Shiny-faced, snooty” man called Mr Buttoo, a politician who wants Rashid to persuade people to vote for him which Haroun is not comfortable with. It made him “Feel ill,” because Mr Buttoo wants Rashid to lie about him. The reason is because people will believe him since he is known as the ocean of notions.

The witches (by Roald Dahl)

This book is about a boy who encounters two witches and also witnessed the power of a witch.

Witches in this book aren’t like the typical witches that ride brooms and wear pointy hats. They look just like normal women!

Whats so bad about them you ask? Well their mission is to get rid of all children because to them children smell like dogs droppings

So when the boy and his grandmother (a witch expert) travel to England the boy finds a stunning discovery. A discovery witch experts all over the world have been trying to find. THE GRAND HIGH WITCH! (Aka head of RSPCC) No non witch has ever seen her. Together with his grandmother they take down the Grand high witch. However the boy is turned into a mouse by the witches new formula “Formula 86 delayed action mouse maker.” They plan on giving out sweets for free with the formula turning kids into mice.

In my opinion this author is very different from others for example Witches are known for their hats and their magic broomstick also witches usually don’t appear in the modern era.

Another thing I like about this book is that the plot of the story isn’t as obvious as you would expect it to be e.g the main character is often unhurt but in the book the grand high witch turns him into a mouse to be killed by a mouse trap but he makes it out alive… just.
